7th_Path ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author : Mathias L. aka [TBUK]Matze, e-mail to: m.lampe@okay.net bsp : 7th_Path base : from Waterpower, one of my earlier maps singleplayer : No multiplayer : Yes compiletime : ca. 18 min built program : World Craft 1.3 Beta machine : P II 333Mhz, 64 MB Ram built time : 4 weeks used things : 20 packets of fags ( smoke to much, i know :), 100 cups of black tee and fastfood all the way, puhh, building maps is not very healty for me :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- credits: the Half-Life community, Valve, Hornetking UK , the-wall.de and lbnl john delaney who playtested my work with the Jumbot and also is responsible for the name of the map.ask him why 7th_path, i have no idea, but it sounds good. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation unpack the 7th_Path.zip to "Half-Life\Valve\maps",than start it as a multiplayer-lan game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map Description This is my third multiplayer map for HL. as a base for this one i took a room out of one of my earlier maps, Waterpower, witch is not a bad map (got 70 something points from Hornetking),but i was not realy glad with it because of the gameflow. in this map the gameflow is much bether,i placed the rooms, mainly hallways, around to yards witch improves the gameflow a lot, for example if you follow the hallways of the upper levels you will find that it has the shape of an 8 , althoug it is only accesible by 2 stairways at both ends of the map, or, for sure, with a gaussjump. there is only one room with an dead end, but the rest of the map is accesible by at least two ways and the connections are quite logical. the weaponplacement is quite balanced, although you will find the most powerfull weapons, the rpg and the gauss, located in just one yard witch does no matter, because you need the longjump to get the gauss. i did not stick in the gluon-gun and the hornet, i think, that they destroy the gameplay of almost every good map and make the one of a bad map even worse (who is playing bad maps, anyway ? ) k, thatīs the story of this map. i hope that you enjoy it :)
