Homepage: http://hlatlas.com Description: Its another layered map, much like my Double Ugly maps, only less ledges. I think it connects really well. The map can handle a few people, probably up to 7 or 8 (gets pretty hectic- the map is REALLY open, although it may not look like it) , but can also be played well with fewer people. There's not very much diversity in the weaponry- mostly shotguns and 9mm AR's. Kinda did this on purpose- people seem to last longer and games get more... interesting. Just for kicks I threw in an RPG and a crossbow, and they aren't exactly readily available, but not too hard to get. The crossbow wont dominate too much, I hope, because there aren't enough long-views that are well suited for it (most are really thin and the victim will most likely be out of the crosshairs before the hunter knows what was going on) (that probably doesn't make sence, but I really don't care, because I understand it) (so there). One final note- I like messing with the game_player_equip entity, so you spawn with your average crowbar, a 9mm pistol (with full ammo), and 5 grenades. I like grenades. A lot. So just remember that you have them when you spawn, they might help out a bit. I recently added the two teleporters to help with connectivity... They look like crap, but they work. Secrets: 1 Hivehand - Hidden somewhere... kinda hard to reach said somewhere... 1 Gauss + 2 Gauss Clips - This one isn't as hard to find as the hivehand... its on the thick red painted level, a SMALL texture missalignment... really hard to catch. Also, since its on a ground floor, it provides a great escape if someones chasing you (If its already been breeched, that is). 1 LongJump module - easy to see, not so easy to reach. Hidden Logo - I'm lame and plug my site in the map... so sue me. Its really easy to find, just shoot the obvious spot. Miscellaneous stuff: The map took me about one week to make, taking about 45 min - 1 hr a day. Not that big of a project, but I enjoyed making it. The teleportes look like crap, and I appologize for that. I tried getting some spiffy beam effects, but they weren't working quite as planned, so I axed them and opted for a rocket bottom and a gimpy sprite. They work, so thats all I really care about :) Final Note- Sorry if there are some typos here... I just spent 2 1/2 hours rock climbing and I'm a wee bit tuckered out... *-------------------------*
